AAVE GRANT Ecological Project Overview
AAVE GRANT An Overview of our Ecological ProjectAuthor: dt
Second only to Ethereum staking protocol LIDO, AAVE is the second highest TVL protocol in the current Defi world, with a TVL of up to $4.69 billion. Apart from continuously developing its own protocol, AAVE actively incubates and sponsors many ecosystem-related protocols, such as one-stop Defi server DefiSaver, cross-chain bridge Li.Fi, and options protocol Lyra Finance, all of which have received sponsorship from the AAVE GRANT ecosystem fund.
Today, CryptoSnap Weekly brings you a look at the 17 projects and plans that have received ecological rewards in July and August 2023 from the AAVE GRANT ecosystem fund.

1. Range Protocol
Range Protocol is a Defi automated strategy management platform that offers multiple token vaults and strategies for users to choose from, providing optimal yield. Its product vision includes AMM DEX liquidity management, liquidity collateral LSD, NFT Fi, and derivative protocol strategy management, but only AMM DEX management is currently live.
The incentive received from AAVE GRANT this time will focus on the stablecoin vault of $GHO, utilizing liquidity management strategies with $GHO and other stablecoins such as $USDC and $DAI to provide users with the highest annual yield and deepen the liquidity of $GHO.
2. Roll a Mate
Roll a Mate has won numerous awards in the recent ETHGlobal Waterloo 2023. Its project vision is to provide low-cost transaction fees on the Ethereum mainnet, with users only needing to pay transaction fees between $0 to $0.04.
Users only need to pay a one-time GAS fee to deposit money into the smart contract deployed by Roll a Mate, and then they can enjoy various transactions with nearly 0 GAS, including lending and repayment on AAVE.
The protocol is still under development and has not been deployed on the mainnet.
3. LangWallet
LangWallet is the first fully interactive AI wallet, where users can chat with a robot (text or voice) and the AI can extract your needs from the conversation and answer questions or perform corresponding transaction behaviors, whether it’s buying and selling tokens, NFTs, setting limit orders, or even borrowing and repaying on lending platforms.
The project is currently not publicly available and a demo video shows that it can be done through iMessage with a specific AI account, without the need to download a specific application.
4. YaspFi
YaspFi is a one-stop Defi wallet service, with both a plugin wallet and a web front-end (currently developing a mobile app), providing users with a front-end service that can interact with multiple Defi protocols, and consolidating various farming yield annualized rates for easy comparison of annualized differences between protocols.
5. AwesomeQA
AwesomeQA is an AI question-answering robot service that supports Discord, Telegram, and web platforms. It organizes the most frequently asked repetitive questions by reading project documents and historical chat records and automatically replies when a user asks the same question again.
Famous projects such as AAVE, Scroll, Dune, and ChainFlip are already using AwesomeQA’s robot service in their communities to provide better support to users.
6. Nilla Connect
NillaConnect is a P2P leveraged lending protocol that uses AAVE as the underlying funding pool. When P2P lending demand cannot be matched, funds will be placed in AAVE to earn interest. When a match is successful, the funds will be automatically withdrawn and lent to the borrower, helping Aave better utilize idle funds through leverage, reduce funding costs, and create better returns for users.
In addition, NillaConnect collaborates with Li.Fi, using Li.Fi SDK as a complete solution for the chain, and has also received a grant from LI.FI’s grant program.
7. Concero
Concero is a terminal on-chain trading platform positioning itself as a cross-chain DEX and staking aggregator, providing services such as real-time token news and candlestick charts.
The staking aggregator section has already integrated with AAVE and other pools for comparison. Their cross-chain Dex aggregator will allow users to trade from any chain and stake tokens in the Aave funding pool.
8. Aave Alarm
Aave Alarm is an open-source mobile app project that monitors users’ health scores on AAVE and provides notification services. The app is already available on the iOS App Store and Android Google Play.
9. BreezeLianGuaiy
BreezeLianGuaiy is a Web3 payment project dedicated to creating convenient cryptocurrency payment tools for daily users, supporting mainstream tokens such as USDC, USDT, DAI, SOL, ETH, Ripple, etc.
Their Aave integration plan includes using lending functions on the Ethereum mainnet to facilitate smoother payment experiences.
August Winners
1. ComLianGuaiss Labs
The Dojo, introduced by ComLianGuaiss Labs, is a Defi simulation software that allows for comprehensive testing of Defi strategies on EVM smart contracts. With simple python commands on your local machine, you can experiment with strategies easily.
Dojo has already integrated with Uniswap V3 on Ethereum and is working on integrating with AAVE, as well as expanding the simulation to Polygon and Arbitrum.
2. Sommelier
Sommelier Finance is a Layer1 blockchain built on Cosmos SDK, with Tendermint POS consensus mechanism. It has created a specific application chain on Cosmos to optimize various Defi protocols. Providing automated treasury services, it enables various complex Defi strategies for users to earn high annual yields.
The Turbo GHO treasury for Sommelier Finance has performed exceptionally well, currently surpassing $2 million in TVL. It has demonstrated outstanding performance in the Uni V3 GHO LP pool, contributing over 56% of trading volume with only 44% of the total TVL.
3. CIAN Protocol
CIAN Protocol is an automated treasury strategy protocol focused on improving LST token revenue. It currently has multiple strategy treasuries with ETH Matic Avax coin bases.
AAVE GRANT funding will be used by CIAN to leverage AAVE as the core lending/custodial protocol, accelerating the development of new delta neutral strategy insurance treasuries.
4. Altitude
Altitude is an automated borrowing and lending management tool that aims to address the low capital efficiency issue in current lending projects. It automates the management of lending positions, earning annual yields by depositing excess collaterals into farming protocols. It also automatically withdraws from farming protocols and deposits into lending platforms to avoid liquidation when collateral prices drop.
5. DeFi Simulator
DeFi Simulator offers users a user-friendly UI interface to simulate various changes in AAVE positions. Users can modify risk parameters and simulate the effects on Aave positions, understanding the impact of risk parameter changes on health factors, liquidation prices, and borrowing capacity in real-time.
6. Aave RFPs & Service Provider ToS
Aave RFPs & Service Provider ToS, proposed by Ben O’Neill, is a framework for AAVE governance proposals aimed at improving the selection and collaboration with service providers. It establishes a set of rules.
7. Revelo Intel
Revelo Intel is a crypto research and education platform. The reward is mainly based on its previous research report on various AAVE data indicators, including research on TVL and competitor changes, protocol fee income, treasury governance and roadmap, and AAVE tokens.

8. Laval University – Introduction to Blockchain & DeFi course
This project is a blockchain course offered by Professor pierreyves.eth at Laval University. The professor asked his students to design a project that interacts with Aave V3 on Arbitrum and directly obtain information such as their own account health score, LTV ratio, and liquidation price from the v3 contract.
My Opinion
In recent times, the cryptocurrency market has been in a slump, especially the ETH/BTC exchange rate hitting a new low in 15 months, reflecting the lackluster on-chain activities on the Ethereum mainnet. But as they say, perseverance in a bear market leads to success in a bull market. Even in this winter, there are still many projects continuously developing and operating. They are supported by cornerstone protocols like AAVE, playing the role of a mother hen guiding the chicks. This shows the resilience of the Ethereum DeFi community.
Personally, I am optimistic about many DeFi treasuries and all-in-one frontend services in this incentive program. These protocols aim to simplify DeFi products, allowing users to enjoy high yields in DeFi without understanding the complex principles and various overwhelming protocols behind them. They can easily understand which one is profitable, what the risks are, and enjoy the fun of building blocks in DeFi. However, there are currently many similar platforms in the market, so the challenge for these projects will be how to achieve breakthroughs in marketing and capture the most users. The competition in this space is fierce.
