Ethereum has taken the lead in the previous public chain competition with its thriving ecosystem. The subsequent development of L2 has injected new vitality into the market, but at the same time, the competition between different L2 ecosystems has entered a white-hot stage.

L2, led by the “Four Great Kings”, not only attracts different applications to enrich its own ecosystem, but also introduces different CDKs to attract project teams to build exclusive L2 or application chains.

CDK (Chain Development Kit, named after SDK) is an open-source framework designed to assist developers in deploying L2 based on Ethereum quickly. It provides a modular environment that allows developers to create specific application chains according to specific needs or smoothly transition existing L1 to L2. Just a month and a half ago, the Polygon CDK appeared out of nowhere and has already attracted 13 project teams to build zk L2. Among them are well-known project teams, such as Immutable, Manta, and Dogechain. There are also Web2 smash-hit games like MapleStory and Dungeon Fighter Online developed by Nexon.

ImmutablezkEVM

Immutable zkEVM provides game developers with EVM compatibility, low cost, scalability, and Ethereum security. Compared to Immutable X, developers can build more game types and provide a better experience for players.

The ecosystems of Immutable and Polygon provide game developers with a large user base and financial support, with over one million players and $2 billion in investment. This provides a solid foundation for the development and revenue growth of games.

Gnosis LianGuaiy

Gnosis LianGuaiy is a decentralized payment network and self-service savings card. Gnosis LianGuaiy provides a full range of banking and payment licenses and complies with EU regulations. Gnosis LianGuaiy is Visa certified and collaborates with over 80 million merchants worldwide.

Gnosis LianGuaiy provides infrastructure support for numerous blockchain, token, DeFi protocols, as well as gateway and exit providers. Gnosis LianGuaiy is built on the decentralized custodial protocol and collective asset management platform Safe, with storage of over $10 billion.

The goal of Gnosis LianGuaiy is to provide stable and reliable payment and storage solutions for application developers, building applications on the zk Layer 2 supported by Polygon CDK.

Wirex

Wirex was established in 2014 and is a global digital payment platform and regulated institution. Its core mission is to enable everyone to use digital assets. In 2015, the company developed the first payment card that supports cryptocurrencies, allowing users to choose to use crypto and traditional currencies in real life.

Aavegotchi

Aavegotchis are digital collectibles (NFTs) on the Polygon blockchain. Each Aavegotchi can be customized with various wearable accessories such as hats, glasses, and other accessories, which can be bought, sold, and traded as NFTs. Wearable accessories have unique attributes and features that affect the appearance, rarity, and gaming abilities of Aavegotchis.

Aavegotchis will soon be migrated to Gotchichain, built on Polygon CDK.

CapX

CapX is a blockchain solution focused on token distribution and trading. It provides token distribution, investor allocation, and trading features for project communities. With CapX, projects can incentivize early users and adopters to participate on the platform and offer a seamless token exchange mechanism. CapX also allows projects to customize token parameters and distribution strategies. Through CapX’s token distribution infrastructure, projects can increase visibility, attract more investors and users, and lay the foundation for long-term success.

LianGuailm Network

LianGuailm Network is an Ethereum-compatible sidechain aimed at serving as the foundation for building a scalable and sustainable NFT ecosystem. LianGuailm Network will later build zk Layer 2 using Polygon CDK, making it easier for users to mint, trade, and collect NFTs.

IDEX

IDEX is a high-performance decentralized exchange that combines off-chain trading engine with on-chain settlement and custody, providing the security and low-cost transactions of the Ethereum base layer. Users can enjoy feeless transactions, low latency, instant execution, and have autonomous control and transparent fund custody.

IDEX builds Xchain through Polygon CDK. According to the official website, Xchain can assist IDEX in providing gasless transactions and improving product performance, thus achieving deep interaction with other L2s built on Polygon CDK.

Astar

Astar Network (formerly Plasm) is a multi-chain multi-virtual machine DApp hub on Polkadot, natively supporting Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), WebAssembly, Layer 2 solutions, and DApp Staking.

Astar’s new L2 adopts the ease of use of Gelato, scalability of Polygon zkEVM, and security of Ethereum. It has features such as native account abstraction, smart contract automation and off-chain data access, high throughput, and low fees. Astar’s zkEVM will provide resilient infrastructure and native account abstraction, serving as a gateway for Japanese enterprises to enter Web3 and drive mass adoption.

Dogechain

Dogechain is a fork from Polygon created by Dogecoin enthusiasts and community OG members. Their vision is to bring encrypted applications such as NFTs, gaming, and DeFi to the Dogecoin community. Dogechain allows users to wrap DOGE tokens into smart contracts and interact with projects on Dogechain, where users can use DOGE tokens to pay for gas fees.

Currently, Dogechain is building zk Layer 2 through Polygon CDK.

Canto

Canto is an EVM-compatible public chain that makes traditional company systems accessible, transparent, decentralized, and free.

Canto will use Polygon CDK to build a Layer 2 network, bringing a richer experience of digitalization to traditional companies with the security of Ethereum and the prosperity of the Polygon ecosystem.

Manta Network

Manta Network is a public blockchain built using zero-knowledge proofs, and Manta LianGuaicific is the L2 ecosystem that offers low-cost and user-friendly experiences. It leverages the data availability of Celestia to achieve modularity and provide low gas fees.

Manta LianGuaicific will build L2 with Polygon CDK and integrate deeply with the Polygon ecosystem.
