The launch of the Scroll mainnet marks a new stage for the project. One week after the mainnet launch, let’s take a look at the highlights in terms of data.
100,000 Transactions on Scroll Mainnet in One Week
First, let’s look at the transaction situation on the Scroll mainnet. According to Blockscout data, the number of verified transactions has exceeded 100,000 (including contract calls, transactions, transfers, minting, etc.). As of the time of writing this article, it has reached 101,916 transactions, with an average of 12,330 transactions per day, and the number of wallet addresses has exceeded 18,000.
For comparison, in the ZK Rollup field, the top projects have had an average of 6.73 million transactions in the past 7 days for zkSync Era, 3.53 million transactions for Starknet, 1.22 million transactions for Linea, and less than 200,000 transactions for Polygon zkEVM.
You can see from this that Scroll’s mainnet transaction situation in the ZK Rollup track. Considering that Scroll has not officially announced the launch of the mainnet and has no official participation guidance, it is currently not comparable and needs further observation and evaluation.
In terms of block production, Scroll’s current average block time is 10.7 seconds, with a total of over 73,000 blocks.
532 ETH Cross-chain to Scroll
According to Dune data, there are 532 ETH cross-chained to the Scroll mainnet, equivalent to approximately $840,000. On the second day of Scroll’s mainnet launch, October 11, the highest amount of ETH cross-chained was 243 ETH, and the daily cross-chained ETH amount in the following days was around several dozen.
As of 15 hours ago, there are 795 cross-chain independent addresses, among which the address 0x3375255e3e531452be479c4cd68b738193f7fb00 deposited 220 ETH (approximately $350,000) through 31 cross-chain transactions, accounting for over 40% of the total cross-chain amount.
Further data shows that 76% of cross-chain users made only 1 deposit, and 9 addresses made more than 10 deposits. In terms of deposit amounts, nearly 67% of users (538 individuals) deposited between 0 – 0.1 ETH, over half of the users (410 individuals, 51.6%) deposited between 0.01-0.1 ETH, and 5 users deposited more than 20 ETH.
Which DApps are Scroll mainnet users interacting with?
According to the Blockscout Scroll mainnet Token page, if we refer to the Token with the highest number of holding addresses, the projects of interest include Merkly, Zonic on Scroll, PunkSwap Token, Skydrome, Scroll Name Service, Scroll Doge (zkDoge), Scrollswap Finance Token (SF), Script (SCRIPT), Scroll Inu (Sinu).
Among them, Merkly claims to be a versatile Omnichain solution that enables cross-chain OFT (claiming MERK tokens and cross-chain) and ONFT (minting NFTs and cross-chain) through LayerZero across various networks. On the second day of Scroll’s mainnet launch, Merkly supported the transfer of ONFT between Scroll and Optimism, Arbitrum, Avax, and Polygon, and also supported small deposits through its Gas Refuel. It is worth noting that the official Merkly page states that the MERK token has an unlimited supply and is not suitable for trading on the open market. In addition, bridges that currently support asset cross-chains include Owlto.
Zonic is an NFT marketplace developed by the Apetimism team on the Ethereum Layer2, and integrated with Scroll on the second day of its mainnet launch. In addition, Zonic has also launched commemorative NFTs for users to claim, with 3,302 tokens already claimed (out of a total of 100,000).
Skydrome is a ve(3,3) exchange on Scroll, taking inspiration from Velodrome design and combining liquidity incentive mechanisms and voting lock-up governance models to reward participants who contribute to the protocol’s sustainable development.
Scroll Name Service is a domain name project on Scroll, with 942 domains already registered and 637 addresses holding domains.
In addition, like other new blockchains and networks, Scroll has seen the emergence of many Meme projects.
However, since many projects are in the early stages of development, users are advised to exercise caution and DYOR (Do Your Own Research).
Overall, with the launch of the Scroll mainnet and official incentives, we can expect the integration of top DeFi projects with Scroll and the launch of more native DApps, thereby further stimulating its trading volume and activity.
