"Weika" related proceedings were blocked and the amount of pyramid schemes was up to billions of dollars.

From this point of view, for the plaintiff who needs to recover, the lawsuit is more difficult.

At present, the pending litigation against the OneCoin of the MLM has recently encountered obstacles, and all the proceedings in this case need to be postponed until all the defendants have been served.

Since 2016, governments including China, India, Belgium, the United Kingdom and other countries have warned their citizens about OneCoin's similar pyramid schemes or scams.

In the list of 350 fund-raising organizations announced by CCTV in 2017, Vikco was listed. According to the Procurator’s Daily report in May 2018, the “3·15” Vikco extra large network pyramid scheme lasted for two years. The Zhuzhou County Procuratorate of Hunan Province reviewed and prosecuted 106 people, filed 98 prosecutions, and recovered nearly 1.7 billion yuan. Since the establishment of the hospital, it has reviewed and prosecuted the largest number of cases involved and the largest amount of economic losses.

The lawsuit is in the process of the Southern District Court of New York (SDNY), claiming that the client deceived by OneCoin recently filed a first amended lawsuit against the company and some of its individuals. According to foreign media reports, several defendants, including the "Queen of Encryption" behind OneCoin and the Bulgarian businesswoman Ruja Ignatova, are currently evading the litigation delivery process.

According to the plaintiff in this case, OneCoin's headquarters in Bulgaria and its founder, Ruja Ignatova, also settled in Bulgaria, while OneCoin co-founder Sebastian Greenwood lives in Sweden and is believed to be deliberately evading the litigation delivery process.

In addition, the long list of defendants in the lawsuit included the actual controller of OneCoin (also the brother of Ruja Ignatova) Konstantin Ignatov, head of the Legal and Compliance Department of OneCoin, Irina Andreeva Dilinska, and those allegedly involved in OneCoin. Money laundering" those vested interests who earned income.

According to previous reports, three of the main offenders of the OneCoin scam have been arrested.

The Bangkok Post reported in November last year that Sebastian Greenwood, one of the main offenders of the OneCoin scam, had been arrested by the Thai police and extradited to the United States. According to foreign media reports, the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) arrested Konstantin Ignatov at Los Angeles International Airport in March 2019.

And according to official court documents, the FBI also arrested Mark Scott, the former partner of the international law firm Locke Lord, who was accused of money laundering of about $400 million. Scott mainly used money-buying funds registered in the Cayman Islands to conduct money laundering activities. . According to the plaintiff in the lawsuit, OneCoin’s defendant has been able to maintain its large-scale fraud for many years, in large part because Mark Scott and his partners David Pike and Nicole Huesmann cleaned OneCoin from selling fraud to the plaintiff. The proceeds of crime obtained in a sexual investment plan.

At the same time, Ruja Ignatova, despite her brothers’ charges of money laundering and wire transfers and securities fraud involving billions of dollars, is still at large.

From this point of view, for the plaintiff who needs to recover, the lawsuit is more difficult.

As the proceedings continue, the premise is that all defendants are required to complete the litigation. One of the main obstacles to the completion of the litigation delivery process is Ruja Ignatova, who is still at large and whose whereabouts are unknown.

And the judge who accepted the lawsuit said that starting from September 3, 2019, the main plaintiff must submit a letter to the court on the first working day of each month, and regularly make all the procedures for his service delivery. Try to update the instructions.
