Crypto broker BitOoda announced that it has received a $ 7 million seed round investment.

According to The Block, a number of energy and commodity traders have participated in BitOoda's financing, including S & P global Platts head of global oil analysis and PIRA Energy founder Gary Ross, and former head of British Petroleum's North American gas trading unit Calvin Schlenker and Roy Salame, former head of commodity sales and structure at JP Morgan Chase.
The company's founder and CEO Tim Kelly said that with the new funding, BitOoda plans to expand its solutions in the US, Asia, and Europe to meet growing demand.
Founded in 2017, BitOoda positions itself as a digital asset financial services platform that combines digital finance and applied science. The two main products the company plans to design and execute include BitOoda Difficulty, a financial swap transaction, and BitOoda Hash, a physical hash contract.
The company is registered as a broker-dealer with the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, and as an introducing broker with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the National Futures Association.
BitOoda also released the latest Global and Regulatory Analysis report on Monday, which states that the US cryptocurrency bill 2020 is "the most promising regulatory development in the United States in the near future."
