An anonymous person launched a petition on Change.org asking Bitcoin to have its own emoji. This petition is for the California-based nonprofit Unicode Consortium, which created the standard for modern emoji.

The cryptocurrency community recognizes this. They think that the ₿ symbol used at this stage is too niche and difficult to set up, and most people are not used to using it.

"There is a big difference between characters and emojis," said a reddit user, adding that having a bitcoin character is a good start, but emoji will be easier to use.

Another important point to note is that emojis are not limited to text messages. Being able to add the world's largest cryptocurrency emoji to platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram may make the entire industry more legitimate.
