Decoding ERC-6551: Using NFT as a linked governing smart contract

ERC-6551: Using NFTs as linked smart contracts

Cryptocurrency KOL 2898 briefly introduced ERC-6551 from the aspects of wallet differentiation, existing issues, and team background, and corrected the misleading promotion that OpenSea supports ERC-6551.

Wallet differentiation:

EOA wallet: similar to MetaMask, Trust Wallet;

Smart contract wallet: similar to Argent, Gnosis;

ERC-6551: uses NFT as a reference to control smart contracts, with smart contracts operating NFT, ERC20, and other assets.

Existing problems:

Regarding application scenarios, he cannot solve problems such as game combinations, which is an issue of on-chain interaction. 1) The problem of mass adoption by users, also known as Mass Adoption; 2) The problem of high gas costs for on-chain operations, which is where Little Fox is good at; 3) The problem of NFT landing scenarios, which is not related to them.

Team background:

Proposed by futureprimitive. BennyGiang: A former member of the CryptoKitties team who left at the end of 21 to start this company (not the initiator of NFT 721, just a team member, don’t be misled). jayden_windle: The true developer of this protocol.

They claim that OpenSea supports ERC-6551, but it is actually misleading propaganda. They are actually using OpenSea’s iframe function, which anyone can implement.
