Rollbit on Solana? Breaking down the gaming part of Lamas Finance
Rollbit on Solana Lamas Finance's gaming breakdownThe better the Crypto Game that can stimulate people’s gambling nature, the better. The best Crypto game is an exchange, which is also the reason why Gamblefi has been enduring in the Crypto industry. In this race, whoever can play more tricks with gambling in a simple and understandable way will stand out. Today’s case is Lamas Finance, a GambleFi project on Solana that combines GameFi, NFT, and DeFi.
Project Mechanism – Game Part
Lamas is based on four games, and both the NFT and DeFi parts are built on top of them. Due to space constraints, we will only introduce the game part in this article. The four games are:
Price Prediction
Price prediction takes place once a week. At the beginning of each week, the initial price of the asset will be recorded. Before the end of Thursday, users can guess a specific number or percentage change in that price. Over the weekend, the closing price will be recorded to calculate the score and final rewards.

In this game, participants place bets with USDC, with a minimum amount of 5 USDC and no maximum amount. Players can make multiple bets with different predictions. Each bet will be recorded as a separate entry.
- Accuracy Assessment
Assuming a player makes a price prediction for Bitcoin (BTC), with an initial price of 100,000 USD at the beginning of the week. Let’s consider a hypothetical pool that contains 1 BTC and 100,000 USD. The total value of the pool is 200,000 USD, with 50% of the value in BTC and 50% in USD. We define the state of the pool as a vector, with its components representing the percentage of asset values in the pool. In this example, the initial state of the (BTC, USD) pool is (50.00, 50.00).
Suppose the closing price of 1 BTC at the end of the week is 150,000 USD. Here, although the pool remains fixed at 1 BTC and 100,000 USD, the state has changed. The total value of the pool has increased to 250,000 USD. Therefore, BTC accounts for 60% of the pool value (= 150,000 / 250,000), while USD accounts for 40% (= 100,000 / 250,000). Thus, the closing state of the pool is (60.00, 40.00).
Predicting the price of Bitcoin is equivalent to predicting the closing state of the pool. For example, if a player wants to predict that BTC will increase by 20% and the value of 1 BTC will reach 120,000 USD. Based on the same calculation as above:
- The total value of the pool is 220,000 USD
- BTC accounts for 120,000 / 220,000 = 54.45% of the pool value
- USD accounts for 100,000 / 220,000 = 45.45% of the pool value
Therefore, the user’s submission is represented as (54.55, 45.45), and it will be compared with the final state vector of the pool. The closer the vectors are, the higher the score. Price predictions use real-time data from the Chainlink Oracle.
Meanwhile, players can also earn reward points by making early predictions. It is much more difficult to predict the price of BTC on Sunday than on Thursday. Therefore, reward points help ensure that participants are treated fairly when making predictions on different dates throughout the week.
Initially, the game offers the following reward levels:
- 100 points on Monday,
- 60 points on Tuesday,
- 30 points on Wednesday, and
- 0 points on Thursday.
Therefore, the highest score that players can achieve is 1100 points.
Reward Distribution
Price prediction is a zero-sum game with no external incentives. If the final score is higher than the average level, there will be some profit. On the other hand, if the score is lower than the average level, there will be a certain degree of loss. Specifically, rewards will be calculated based on the score and betting amount (wager) through the following formula. In addition, users will also be able to obtain NFTs of different rarity based on their bets and rankings.
Direction Prediction
Participants in this game will bet on whether the SOL/USDT exchange rate will rise or fall within a certain period. Correct guesses will win players a portion of the prize pool.
The game is played in rounds. Each round consists of two phases: prediction and live. In the prediction phase, participants bet on the upward or downward trend of the price. The price is recorded at the end of each phase. When the real-time phase ends with the SOL/USDT rate higher than at the end of the prediction phase, a correct upward prediction occurs. Similarly, a correct downward prediction occurs when it is lower.
The total betting amount constitutes the prize pool, and the prize pool will be proportionally awarded to each participant who makes accurate predictions.
In this game, participants will bet LMF, with a minimum amount of 5 LMF and no maximum.
Each game lasts a total of 30 minutes. There are two phases: prediction and live, each lasting 15 minutes. Real-time data from the Chainlink Oracle is used for upward or downward movements.
Profit Calculation
For example, if there are 15 SOL on the downside and 135 SOL on the upside, the total prize pool is 150 SOL. Therefore, the dividend ratio for the downside is: (150/15) = 10x, and the dividend ratio for the upside is: (150/135) = 1.11x. If the round ends with a downside position and 20 LMF invested, a payment of 20 × 10 = 200 LMF will be received. The profit (before tax) will be 200 – 20 = 180 LMF.
Similarly, users will also be able to obtain NFTs of different rarity based on their bets and rankings.
Jackpot Lottery
Based on a jackpot lottery game, participants have the opportunity to win a large amount of LMF rewards by purchasing lottery tickets. It is straightforward, fair, and apart from being able to afford the ticket, participants have no restrictions on participation.
Games happen every day. Every day, users can buy lottery tickets during the designated time period. The price for each ticket is 5 LMF and is only valid for the day. There is no limit to the number of tickets a user can purchase. Each ticket sold increases the size of the jackpot.
Each ticket allows users to select a group of 4 different numbers between 1 and 36. The more numbers matched, the bigger the reward. The remaining portion of the jackpot for the day will be added to the jackpot for the next day.
The accumulation of the jackpot prize uses Chainlink’s VRF to ensure true and secure randomness.
Profit Calculation
The jackpot is won when all four of a player’s numbers match the jackpot numbers. If only two or three numbers match, players will receive smaller rewards. The following proportions will be used to distribute the prizes:
- 50% of the pool will be evenly distributed among players with 4 lucky numbers
- 20% of the pool will be evenly distributed among players with 3 lucky numbers
- 10% of the pool will be evenly distributed among players with 2 lucky numbers
Therefore, the total earnings of the winning ticket owners (with two, three, or four matching numbers) account for 80% of the jackpot, with the remaining 20% reserved for the next round. If there are no winners on a given day, the remaining portion of the jackpot will also accumulate to the jackpot for the next day.
Initially, there will be 30,000 LMF available in the jackpot before the first round’s jackpot ticket. This quantity of tokens will be extracted from the ecosystem pool.
In addition, players who match at least 1 number will have a chance to receive NFT fragments. The rarity of the artwork will depend on the matched numbers.
Lucky Wheel
The lucky wheel is a chance-based game where participants have the opportunity to increase their bets by spinning the wheel. Users can choose the betting amount from a range of options, such as 2 LMF, 10 LMF, 50 LMF, 100 LMF, or 500 LMF. The slots on the wheel have various multiplier values ranging from x0 to x35. Profits are calculated by multiplying the betting amount by the result multiplier, so there is a possibility of both profit and loss.
If lucky, users who spin the wheel on a x2 box (or better) will receive a prize proportional to their bet.
The following results are available: x0 (complete loss), x0.5 (50% loss), x1 (break-even), x2 (double), x3 (triple), x7 (multiplied by 7), x20 (multiplied by 20), x35 (multiplied by 35), and NFT (x1 + 1 NFT card). The table indicates the probabilities for each result.
Therefore, the expected value for winning is 0.973 ( = 0 x 30% + 0.5 x 30% + …35 x 0.15% + 1 x 1%), approximately 1. Additionally, players who spin on the NFT box will receive an NFT fragment. The rarity of the token will depend on the betting amount.
The ecosystem pool will act as an intermediary during the game, collecting bets and distributing rewards. The lucky wheel uses Chainlink’s VRF to ensure true and secure randomness.
Due to the complexity of the system content, the next article will break down the NFT section.
