AzukiDAO initiated the proposal “Hire lawyers to reclaim 20,000 ETH from founder Zagabond and file a lawsuit against him,” and the vote will end on July 3.

AzukiDAO has released a proposal to “hire lawyers to assist the community in reclaiming 20,000 ETH from Zagabond and filing a lawsuit against him.” Specific content includes: hiring lawyers to sue Azuki founder Zagabond for rug pulling multiple projects; retrieving 20,000 ETH from the team and distributing it to the DAO to promote the growth of the entire Azuki community and provide rewards and incentives for artists, content creators, and builders; Azuki DAO provides financial support to 20000E DAO, which will establish a research team for the lawsuit. The proposal voting deadline is July 3. It is reported that AzukiDAO and 20000E DAO were established by former Azuki community members and holders and are not the official Azuki team.

Bitcoin Depot, one of the largest cryptocurrency ATM companies in the United States, has completed a merger transaction that will allow the company to go public. Financial technology company GSR II Meteora Acquisition Corporation announced in a statement released on June 30 that its shareholders have approved the company as a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) for Bitcoin Depot, and it is expected that Bitcoin Depot will be listed on Nasdaq on July 3. The transaction was first reported in August 2022, and the two sides plan to merge and go public on Nasdaq with a valuation of $885 million. Brandon Mintz, founder and CEO of Bitcoin Depot, said that the merger transaction aims to seize growth opportunities and promote the adoption of Bitcoin. According to the Bitcoin Depot website, the company was founded in 2016 and is one of the largest cryptocurrency ATM companies in North America, with more than 9,130 locations.

Binance to release second NFT collection of C. Ronaldo on July 3

The second NFT collection “ForeverCR7: The GOAT” of C. FTX claims portal has gone live as a customer claims portal for the debtor, which will launch around July 3, 2023, after signing a court order related to the motion. Recently, FTX debtors filed a motion for a customer claims deadline, which aims to establish a deadline for customers to submit claims and to approve the procedure for doing so, among other things. The motion is scheduled to be heard in court on June 28, 2023, at 1 pm Eastern Time.

Ethereum Meeting: Devnet #7 for EIP-4844 to be launched as early as July 3

Christine Kim, VP of Research at Galaxy, summarized the 112th Ethereum core developer consensus (ACDC) meeting, where developers discussed including a builder override flag in the Engine API, raising the target blob limit from 2 to 3 and the maximum blob limit from 4 to 6, and ongoing research around changing the validator maximum effective balance. Developers from the Ethereum Foundation DevOps team said that all EL and CL client teams have passed the relevant Hive tests for Devnet #7 and plan to launch Devnet #7 as early as July 3. Devnet #7 is a dedicated short-term test network for EIP-4844 and will not test other code changes.

Project Update:

Ziliqa mainnet is scheduled to be upgraded to version 9.2 on July 5, and deposits and withdrawals will be suspended during the upgrade.

The Layer 1 blockchain Ziliqa mainnet is scheduled to be upgraded to version 9.2 at 16:00 on July 5th Beijing time, and the upgrade is expected to take about 8 hours (or up to 24 hours). During the upgrade, the Ziliqa network will not process transactions, and deposits and withdrawals will be suspended.

This upgrade will introduce a number of enhanced and new features aimed at optimizing performance and strengthening cross-chain functionality. Among them, a key improvement is to enhance the interoperability between EVM and Scilla, simplify the creation, testing and launching of ERC-20 and ZRC-2 smart contracts for alternative tokens, and promote seamless cross-chain interaction. Enhanced features also include expanding the test coverage of third-party EVM contracts and full backward compatibility with all existing Scilla contracts in Scilla version 0.13.3. In addition, the upgrade includes various bug fixes, improvements to server-side resilience and overall network performance, advanced search and tracking capabilities for developers, and extended development platform support.

Registration for the first official Sui hackathon will end on July 5.

The Sui Foundation announced on its official blog that the first official Sui hackathon will begin accepting applications from May 30th to July 5th. The hackathon, co-hosted by the Sui Foundation and KuCoin Labs, will hold a demo day on July 19th at Builder House in Paris and online, with a total prize pool of $285,000. The project categories that can participate in this hackathon are: ① Infrastructure and Tools; ② NFT, Social and DAO; ③ Games and AIGC; ④ DeFi and Payments.

The decentralized exchange dYdX will launch the dYdX Chain public testnet at 1:00 AM Beijing time on July 6th. The tested functions will include connecting wallets, viewing order books, placing orders, and viewing account information. At launch, the public testnet will only support Bitcoin and Ethereum markets, but dYdX plans to support more than 30 markets through network upgrades in the future. dYdX Chain is a blockchain built on Cosmos with five milestones, and it has completed four of them so far. Its goal is to launch the mainnet in September and complete the fifth milestone.

Dash Core releases version 19.2.0, mandatory upgrade before the fork on July 6th.

The Dash official blog announced that Dash Core v19.2.0 has been officially released, which is a mandatory upgrade and introduces some major changes. Dash reminds all nodes to upgrade to this version, and nodes running below version 19.2 are expected to diverge from other nodes in the network on July 6th.
