Before Ethereum transitions to PoS, MEV was primarily captured by searchers and miners. Today, on Ethereum, builders and validators compete with searchers for MEV income. In the future, there will be more participants fighting for MEV. This raises some questions: how is MEV currently distributed among participants? What is the total size of the MEV pie today? And how will the entire MEV market and its distribution evolve in the future? Galaxy Digital researcher Leland Lee provides a comprehensive analysis.
