Embark on the Opside Value Exploration Journey: Pre-Alpha Incentive Test Network Countdown officially launched

Opside Value Exploration Journey begins: Pre-Alpha Incentive Test Network Countdown launched.

Author: Opside Team

We are thrilled to announce that the Opside Pre-Alpha Incentive Testnet will be officially launched to the public within two weeks. This is a milestone achievement for Opside and also marks an important step towards the mainnet. Opside sincerely welcomes and encourages all community members to participate in this testnet!

As a decentralized ZK-RaaS network, the Pre-Alpha testnet is an important milestone in Opside’s development process, especially since this testnet introduces a hybrid consensus mechanism of PoS & PoW for the first time. All validator nodes and miners can participate in the test and contribute their power to earn points as rewards. These points can be exchanged for mainnet tokens when the Opside mainnet is launched.

In addition, Opside also provides developers with a one-click ZKRollup Launchpad, where approved developers or projects can create their own ZK-Rollup and deploy dApps freely on it!

Contribute to the Opside Pre-Alpha Testnet

  1. General Users

General users can experience various functions such as cross-chain, transfer, dApp interaction, etc. on the Opside Pre-Alpha testnet after it is launched. Completing specific tasks will also earn points as rewards! Please note that to ensure the user experience, only a few dApps will be available for testing in the early stages of the Opside Pre-Alpha testnet. As testing progresses, more dApps will be gradually deployed to the test network, and more hidden tasks will be opened up for users to challenge. Stay tuned!

To avoid missing important news, we strongly recommend that you join the official Opside Discord community as soon as possible to get the latest information about the testnet: discord.gg/opside

  1. PoS Node Validators

Opside calls on all validator nodes to participate in maintaining the security and stability of the Opside network. Each validator node plays a critical role. As a decentralized network, Opside relies on the power of validators to ensure the overall security and stability of the network, thereby ensuring that all transactions generated on the platform can be processed safely and efficiently.

It is worth mentioning that we launched the Validator pre-application activity on May 2nd. As of the time of publication, we have received more than 6,000 validator applications from more than 50 different countries. The Validator pre-application activity is still ongoing. Users who have been approved can receive water and deploy and set up nodes in the Opside official Discord Channel as soon as the Pre-Alpha Testnet is launched.

  1. PoW Miners

In addition to POS nodes, Opside also invites all miners to join the network ecology, provide computing power for transactions generated by various ZK-Rollups, and generate ZKP proofs.

During the Pre-Alpha Testnet phase, Opside will first use CPU mining for testing and update and launch GPU mining in the next Alpha Testnet phase. It should be noted that PoW CPU mining will be publicly tested about 2 weeks after the Pre-Alpha Testnet is launched, subject to official announcements for specific information.

In addition, we launched the pre-application activity for PoW miners on May 9th, and the activity is still ongoing. We welcome all miners and mining pools to participate in the Opside pre-alpha test and obtain corresponding point rewards while contributing their computing power.

  1. Developers

Opside welcomes all developers to create their own ZK-Rollup and deploy dApps in Opside Layer3 with one click. As an EVM-compatible network, Opside will adopt Polygon ZKEVM in the Pre-Alpha stage and gradually support other ZKEVMs such as Scroll, zkSync, and Taiko in the future. This means that all decentralized applications programmed in Solidity language can be quickly deployed and migrated at zero cost on Opside.

In addition, for excellent dApp developers or teams, the Opside official will also give a certain amount of mainnet token rewards after passing the official review.

Loyalty Points System

This Pre-Alpha Testnet is the first time that Opside has officially released the complete three-layer network architecture, and all roles in the ecosystem are included in the test. Users who participate in the Pre-Alpha Testnet and contribute to the network, regardless of what role they play in the ecosystem, will receive Loyalty Points as a reward. Users can also view their real-time ranking on the Leaderboard and compete with friends. More details are coming soon!

All users who receive Loyalty Points can exchange them for mainnet tokens when Opside mainnet is online.

Start Your Opside Journey

As the “Opside Journey” is about to begin, the Opside team would like to express our sincere thanks to the community! Thank you for your unwavering support along the way. Your enthusiastic participation and relentless efforts are the driving force behind Opside’s continuous progress and development. Therefore, the launch of this round of Opside Pre-Alpha Testnet is not only an important milestone for the team, but also a witness to the collective efforts of all community builders!

Undoubtedly, this will be an exciting journey. We also reaffirm Opside’s commitment to building a vibrant ZK ecosystem, which allows every ecosystem participant (ordinary users, PoW miners, developers, and PoS node validators) to benefit from it and constantly make progress, ultimately writing a prosperous, stable, and secure ZKRollup network ecosystem together.

The construction of every user in the community is crucial to the development of Opside. Therefore, we sincerely invite everyone to join this exciting journey, experience our collective achievements, and contribute to the bright future of Opside.

Finally, once again, thank you to all members of the Opside community for your support. Let us move forward together and jointly write the bright future of the ZKRollup ecosystem!
