Recap of ETHGlobal Lisbon Hackathon: Quick Look at 5 Promising New Projects

ETHGlobal Lisbon Hackathon Recap: 5 Promising New Projects

The ETHGlobal Lisbon hackathon came to a close on May 14th, 2023 in Lisbon. Of the 183 projects that participated, 46 were deployed on Scroll, with 3 of them making it into the top 10. Congratulations to all the developers!

Here are some exciting projects deployed on Scroll in this hackathon.

Guardian Oracle-Keeper Protocol

Guardian is a novel on-chain protocol that uses wrapped tokens with additional functionality for more efficient liquidations. Specifically, the protocol achieves this through a pair of guardian tokens that can wrap any pair of ERC20 tokens and deploy them on one or more DEXs. These tokens listen for “transfer” functionality and immediately calculate prices upon transaction and invoke callback functions, which are usually liquidation or rebalancing operations executed by DeFi protocols.

Natural Chain

“Natural Chain” is an artificial intelligence toolkit that enables users to interact with the EVM ecosystem using natural language for tasks such as creating and deploying smart contracts, querying, and more.

Specifically, Natural Chain uses LangChain to design agents that perform complex tasks related to the EVM ecosystem, as well as the tools necessary to execute this operation. LangChain allows the use of almost any available large language model. Chat GPT 3.5 was used in the hackathon because it balances performance, low cost, and speed.

Credential Corgi

Credential Corgi uses GPT-4 to create certification standards, issue certificates compatible with ZKP, and exchange requests for proof between third parties and credential holders.

Credential Corgi contract is deployed on eight EVM chains, and the UI is a web application built with Next.js in TypeScript. To generate zero-knowledge proofs, Credential Corgi uses the SnarkyJS library.

Kinetex

“Kinetex” is a ZK proof-based peer-to-peer trading platform with instant order confirmation and low gas costs. Securely and quickly transfer liquidity with professional market makers.

Specifically, Kinetex forked LightClient from SuccinctLabs and made changes and optimizations to the cross-chain transactions. The main difference is instant cross-chain transfers and strong gas optimization. Managed to reduce gas costs to around 60-90k on all supported networks.
