Introducing the Bitcoin Script Project: Understanding Bitcoin Development in the Noise

Bitcoin lacks a cohesive technical narrative. In recent years, the lightning network has shifted most of the attention to layer 2, but there has been little coverage of the innovations and progress made around Bitcoin scripts. In the noise of the industry, it is difficult to grasp the pulse of Bitcoin’s development. Alex B introduced the idea of the Bitcoin Script Project, aimed at exchanging and sharing resources on Bitcoin development dynamics and its scripting language.

Bitcoin Script Project is an open initiative aimed at exchanging and sharing resources related to Bitcoin development dynamics and its scripting language, for curating discussions on script progress and its prospects. Over the next few months, I will attempt to understand contributors’ thoughts by interviewing them on their respective work and hope to use these conversations as the basis for the project’s direction.

Once enough material has been collected, a world full of possibilities will open up to us. Project highlights, case studies, user stories/personal profiles, charts and visualizations, and more. My goal is to create a comprehensive space for both the curious and interested in technology and hardcore developers to enter.
