Lens Protocol: Introducing Lens Improvement Proposals (LIPs), Analyzing the First Three Proposals Launched Today

Lens Protocol introduces Lens Improvement Proposals (LIPs). Today, we analyze the first three proposals launched.

Lens Protocol draws inspiration from successful Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs) and Aave Improvement Proposals (AIPs) to introduce Lens Improvement Proposals (LIPs). The official analysis of the first three proposals, LIP-0, LIP-1, and LIP-2, is now available online.

Users can find how to participate in LIP on the Lens Protocol GitHub repository, which simplifies the community participation process. It enables anyone to submit proposals and facilitates public discussions.

Let’s take a closer look at the first three proposals that were launched today: 1) LIP-0, establishing an open governance model. The Lens community can propose improvements to the Lens protocol. From proposal submission to transparent discussions, our goal is to foster an open, collaborative, and inclusive decision-making governance model. 2) LIP-1, Open Algorithm Standard. A proposal to establish an open algorithm standard based on the open Lens data layer, which will encourage the development of third-party algorithms, diversify experiences, and offer user choices. 3) LIP-2, Open Metadata Standard. A plan aimed at establishing metadata standards for the Lens protocol, with the aim of increasing transparency, interoperability, and user authorization.
