This event will bring together builders, developers, and communities to discuss how to collaborate to promote the prosperity and development of the Ethereum ecosystem. The three-day event, held at the National Art Museum of Singapore, received support from community partners including the Ethereum Singapore Meetup Group and laid the foundation for highlighting the potential of Web3 with real-life examples from local non-profit organizations. The event is expected to attract more than 2,000 developers from around the world.
The conference theme of “Infinite Garden City” not only fits Singapore’s identity as a “Garden City”, but also expresses Ethereum’s vision as an infinite garden where all projects and ideas can develop fully and organically in a good nurturing space.
The event aims to cultivate the influence of non-profits and public products locally, sow seeds of hope for talent development, and showcase how local communities can unite to create a vibrant Ethereum ecosystem in Singapore.

We are pleased that the world can focus on another side of Singapore, which is the beating heart of our local community. Ethereum Singapore 2023 will be an opportunity for the Ethereum community to come together to solve problems and design meaningful solutions in the non-profit sector, and showcase more possibilities for using technology to benefit humanity.”
Shaun Djie, founder of the Ethereum Singapore Meetup Group, said: “Since the first Ethereum event in 2015, the Singapore community has developed into a strong Asian community, attracting various Dapps, innovations, funds, and talents to enter Singapore. We are very optimistic about the outlook for this developer-centered conference.” The Singapore community was established in 2016 and has grown to over 9,000 members, with the goal of developing and expanding Singapore’s Ethereum ecosystem.
The conference will cover multiple topics, including DeFi, infrastructure, security, and builders. Each topic is a focus of the community and a hot topic in the industry. From workshops on how beginners can participate in the Ethereum ecosystem, to technical lectures on topics such as privacy, scalability, and zero-knowledge technology, the event will attract a large number of tech enthusiasts and institutions, regardless of their stage of development.
A hackathon focused on public goods will address challenges raised by local nonprofits and social enterprises, with Quadratic Funding used to allow participating organizations to vote for their favorite projects and select the winners. All projects will eventually be compiled into an open-source Playbook and released globally to inspire those who want to get involved with their local communities.
