Overview of Scroll's Early Ecosystem & Opportunities for Leading Players in zkEVM

The Ethereum Layer 2 network Scroll based on ZK Rollup has gained significant attention in the industry since last year. Scroll announced in April 2022 and March of this year that it has completed a Series A financing round led by Polychain Capital, raising $30 million, and a $50 million financing round with participation from Polychain Capital, Sequoia China, IOSG Ventures, Qiming Venture Partners, and OKX Ventures.

In April of this year, at the “FORESIGHT 2023” annual summit co-hosted by Foresight Ventures and Foresight News, Sandy Peng, co-founder of Scroll, stated that Scroll will go live on the mainnet in the next three to four months. After confirming with the project team, Scroll will not go live on the mainnet this month. Later, Scroll also announced the launch of the Beta testnet on Sepolia testnet. The long-awaited mainnet may still take some time.

The Pre-Alpha and Alpha testnets previously launched by Scroll have attracted a large number of projects and users. This article will list the ecosystem projects listed on the Scroll official website, which will also be the “vanguard” after the mainnet goes live.

Wallet / Digital Asset Management Platforms

The Scroll ecosystem includes a number of mentioned wallets or digital asset management platforms, such as Safe, OKX Wallet, Bitget Wallet, MathWallet, UniLianGuaiss, Safeheron, Blocto, as well as hardware wallets OneKey and Keystone. Others include:


Versa is an all-in-one account abstraction wallet that uses the ERC-4337 standard and supports on-chain account recovery. In March of this year, Find Satoshi Lab, developer of STEPN, announced that it has committed to a strategic lead investment in the seed round of the encrypted smart contract wallet Versa, with participation from Folius Ventures and some angel investors, with the investment amount undisclosed.


FoxWallet is a multi-chain wallet that supports networks including Ethereum, Aptos, Filecoin, zkSync, Solana, BNB, Arbitrum, Polygon, Gnosis, KCC, OKC, Syscoin, and allows users to directly purchase cryptocurrencies with fiat currency within the wallet.

Fluvi Wallet

Fluvi Wallet is a non-custodial multi-chain smart contract wallet that uses the ERC-4337 standard and supports features like recovery without mnemonic phrase, one-click wallet synchronization, gasless transactions, 2FA, etc.


Holdstation is a self-custodial smart contract wallet that supports Layer 1 and Layer 2 blockchain networks compatible with EVM. Users can directly conduct DeFi transactions within the wallet app.


Sender was originally positioned as a NEAR ecosystem wallet, but has expanded to support multiple chains. It currently supports blockchains including Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Avalanche, Aurora, Arbitrum, Optimism, NEAR, and Ton. In April 2022, Sender announced the completion of a seed round financing led by Binance Labs, and five months later announced a $4.5 million financing led by LianGuaintera Capital.

Soul Wallet

Soul Wallet is a smart contract wallet that supports ERC-4337. It enables users to create, use, and execute social account recovery functions for smart contract wallets through browser plugins and mobile applications. Soul Wallet announced the completion of a $3 million seed round financing in March of this year and plans to launch in the third or fourth quarter of this year.


OpenBlock is a multi-party computation wallet incubated by Cobo Group. The wallet does not require a mnemonic phrase.

Security / Audit


Code4rena is a community-driven audit platform that received $6 million in funding from LianGuairadigm in March of this year.


HAPI is a set of network security tools designed to prevent hacker attacks.

Salus Labs

Salus Labs is a network security platform for Web3 protocols, providing monitoring, alerting, and other functions.


Gotham3 is a Web3 security protocol built on Scroll, with products including plugins to prevent dangerous websites.

Developer Community / Tools


Atlas is an AI-driven integrated development environment (IDE) for smart contracts that helps developers write, test, and deploy contracts.


DoraHacks is a decentralized open-source developer community that announced a $20 million financing led by FTX Ventures and Liberty City Ventures in May of last year.


Etherspot is an account abstraction SDK that helps projects improve user experience.


Covalent provides API services for data supporting over 100 blockchains.


Hamster is an all-in-one toolkit and middleware platform for Web3 developers.

LianGuairticle Network

LianGuairticle Network is a Web3 middleware platform that announced a $7 million financing led by GSR Ventures, HashKey, and other participants in March of this year.


Bitbyte.Finance provides SaaS services for developers in the Web3 field, including DeFi and NFT applications, mining pools, communities, and more.


BlockVision is a multi-chain node, Mempool, FT, NFT, and DeFi API provider, as well as a real-time data retrieval portal for developers.


BlockPI is a distributed multi-chain acceleration layer that provides efficient, reliable, high-performance global distributed API services for Web3 developers.

Unifra Network

Unifra Network is an infrastructure platform focusing on Layer 2 networks, providing services such as nodes and APIs.


Zkaptcha is a project that uses zero-knowledge proofs to create anti-bot smart contracts.

DB3 Network

DB3 Network is a lightweight, permanently decentralized Web3 database.


The cross-chain infrastructure listed on the Scroll official website includes well-known projects such as Celer Network, Stargate, Orbiter Finance, Hop Protocol, LI.FI, Connext, etc. It also includes cross-chain liquidity protocols like SynapseProtocol, Owlto Finance, which focuses on Layer 2 networks, Pheasant Network, Symbiosis, Catalyst, etc., which are Ethereum Layer 1 and Layer 2 cross-chain bridges.


The oracle projects in the Scroll ecosystem include Pyth Network, Redstone, Witnet, Pragma, Price, etc. It also includes the oracle infrastructure Scry.


Espresso Systems

Espresso Systems is a Web3 application extension and privacy system that completed a $32 million financing led by Greylock LianGuairtners and Electric Capital in March last year. The Ethereum Configurable Asset Privacy (CAPE) smart contract application developed by Espresso Systems aims to provide customizable privacy for transaction creators regarding the addresses and transaction amounts of the parties involved in the transaction.

Eigen Network

Eigen Network is a privacy transaction layer developed for EVM-compatible chains.


zCloak is a zero-knowledge proof privacy DID project that announced the completion of a $5.8 million Pre-A round financing led by Coinbase Ventures in June last year.


zkLianGuaiss is a composable identity protocol developed based on secure multi-party computation (MPC) and zero-knowledge proofs (ZKP).


zkMe is a decentralized Web3 credential network that leverages ZKP to achieve secure and private credential issuance and verification.


Hana is a Layer 0 protocol focused on privacy and is a project of Binance Labs’ fifth season incubation program.


Bware Labs

Bware Labs is a decentralized API infrastructure platform that completed a $6 million Series A financing with a valuation of $50 million in February last year. In March of the same year, Bware Labs announced the launch of its flagship product Blast on the mainnet, allowing node owners to join Blast as node providers in a permissionless manner.


Subsquid is a decentralized indexing protocol that supports DApps and data analysis. Subsquid supports over 100 blockchain protocols.


Ceres is an Infrastructure-as-a-Service platform that provides products such as Soul Bound Tokens (SBT), oracle protocols, decentralized credit systems, etc.


Blobscan is a blockchain explorer developed for EIP-4844 blob transactions.


Tally is an on-chain governance tool that has supported over 500 on-chain DAOs and helped manage over 10 billion dollars in assets.


Carrot allows users to create community-driven programmable incentive measures and allocate rewards when certain criteria are met.


LlamaNodes is an RPC infrastructure service launched by Llama Corp.


0xKYC is a KYC/AML verification system that can generate interoperable proofs.


NodeReal is a one-stop blockchain infrastructure and service provider that offers services such as Web3 API and customized application chain development.


zkLink is a zero-knowledge proof-based multi-chain transaction infrastructure that announced a $10 million financing round in May this year with participation from Coinbase Ventures and others.


InfStones is a LianGuaiaS infrastructure provider that offers API, staking, and node management services for multiple protocols as validators.

Pocket Network

Pocket Network is a decentralized RPC protocol that announced a $10 million financing round led by Republic Capital, RockTree Capital, Arrington Capital, and C² Ventures in January last year.


Transpose is a Web3 data visualization solution provider that completed a $3 million financing round led by MaC Venture Capital in May last year and announced its acquisition by Chainalysis in May this year.


Intmax is a Layer 2 zkRollup network that provides efficient, secure, and scalable solutions for blockchain applications using a stateless architecture. Intmax also provides interoperability with other L2 and blockchains. Intmax announced a seed round financing of approximately $4.87 million with participation from HashKey and Scroll in April this year.


Chainbase is an integrated Web3 data infrastructure for indexing, transforming, and utilizing on-chain data at scale.


Chainsight is an on-chain data extension layer that can sync, process historical data, and introduce it to any blockchain.


There are several DeFi projects mentioned more frequently in the Scroll ecosystem, including lending protocol Aave, multi-chain DEX aggregator DODO, DEX SushiSwap, DEX aggregator OpenOcean, multi-chain DeFi protocol iZUMiFinance, DEX Syncswap, DeFi yield protocol PendleFinance, lending protocol dForce, and leverage trading aggregator MUXProtocol. The author will provide a brief introduction to other DeFi projects in the Scroll ecosystem that are not mentioned above.

NEST Protocol

NEST Protocol is a decentralized oracle protocol that also has a trading product called NESTFi, which provides futures and spot trading.

SynFutures Protocol

SynFutures Protocol is a decentralized derivatives protocol that supports token futures, perpetual contracts, and perpetual contracts for NFTs.


OpenLeverage is a permissionless lending and margin trading protocol and one of the 14 projects in the 4th season of the Binance Labs Incubation Program. In June 2022, Binance Labs announced a strategic investment in OpenLeverage.

The multi-chain DeFi aggregator, formerly known as DeversiFi, is itself a Layer 2 network based on StarkEx. It provides token trading, yield generation through staking, cross-chain functionality, and more. According to L2BEAT data, the TVL on exceeds $16 million at the time of writing.

MES Protocol

MES Protocol is a cross-rollup order book DEX that supports Ethereum, zkSync Era, Arbitrum, Optimism, Linea, and Base. Currently, it only supports ETH/USDC and USDT/USDC trading pairs.


Zenlink was originally a DEX in the Polkadot ecosystem and has expanded to support Moonbeam, Bifrost, Arbitrum, and Base.

Satori Finance

Satori Finance is a zkEVM-based perpetual contract protocol that currently supports Polygon zkEVM and zkSync. In May of last year, Satori announced a $10 million financing led by Polychain and Blockchange. At that time, the project was positioned as a derivatives protocol in the Polkadot ecosystem.


Mufex is a multi-chain perpetual contract protocol that supports Arbitrum and Polygon. Users need to deposit USDT to a specified address before they can start trading.


Rubydex is a decentralized perpetual contract protocol that currently supports Ethereum, Arbitrum, BNB Chain, and zkSync Era.


The decentralized trading platform Poolshark () provides various ways to add liquidity. In addition to providing liquidity within a certain range similar to Uniswap v3, Poolshark also supports providing liquidity within a specific range based on user-specific buying and selling strategies. It enhances liquidity while providing diversified buying and selling options.

LianGuainner Finance

LianGuainner Finance is a leveraged exotic options trading platform that currently supports zkSync testnet.

Vaporwave Finance

Vaporwave Finance is a liquidity management platform that currently supports Arbitrum, Polygon, and Aurora. Vaporwave Finance allows users to directly add liquidity to the supported DeFi protocols on its platform to earn yields and manage liquidity directly on the platform.

Zada Finance

Zada Finance is a cross-rollup order book DEX built on Scroll.

JOJO Exchange

JOJO Exchange is a decentralized perpetual contract protocol that matches trades using an off-chain matching and on-chain execution order book model.

Cog Finance

Cog Finance is a lending protocol that allows users to create independent lending pools and set parameters (similar to Maple Finance). Borrowers can match the best borrowing solution across all pools through the protocol’s routing. In addition, Cog avoids whales manipulating interest rates by having liquidity through the protocol. is a fully-chain self-custodial order book DEX developed based on zkLink. It is currently in the testnet phase and will support networks including Ethereum, Avalanche, BNB Chain, Polygon, zkSync, Starknet, Linea, Scroll, Arbitrum, Optimism, Manta, Taiko in the future.


Loanshark is a lending aggregator that searches for the best borrowing solutions based on the user’s borrowing position. Additionally, users can deposit funds into Loanshark’s Vault after borrowing, and Loanshark can provide liquidation protection for their borrowing positions. Loanshark is incubated by Polygon X HyperNest DeFi accelerator.


Tradable is a fully-chain order book perpetual contract trading platform developed based on LayerZero. It integrates liquidity from multiple chains, allowing users to access liquidity from multiple chains without the need for manual cross-chain operations. The order book matching of Tradable is conducted off-chain.


Rockly is a fork protocol of Solidly on Scroll. The project’s Twitter currently has no information, and there is no official website. It is uncertain whether it is still in operation.


zkSynth is a synthetic asset protocol built on Scroll. It will support the trading of fiat currencies, stocks, commodities, and other assets as synthetic assets on zkSynth.


RollDex is a DEX aggregator built on Scroll, providing leveraged trading functionality.


Splatter is a DEX built on Scroll that is fully controlled by on-chain governance.


vooi is a Layer 2 ecosystem stablecoin trading protocol that currently supports Taiko and Scroll testnets. It supports transactions between USDT, USDC, BUSD, and DAI.


Meson is a cross-chain stablecoin trading protocol that supports 19 public chains, including Ethereum, BNB Chain, and Polygon. In August 2022, Meson announced completing a $4 million financing led by GSRV.

Router Protocol

Router Protocol was initially a DEX project but later transformed into a Layer 1 blockchain developed based on Tendermint. It focuses on cross-chain liquidity and integrates DEXs from multiple chains.


Velocore is a DEX that adopts the ve(3,3) model and currently supports zkSync Era and Linea mainnets.


SLianGuaiceFi is a DeFi Hub focused on zk Rollup networks.


Dego Finance

Dego Finance is a cross-chain NFT + DeFi protocol and infrastructure aimed at exploring the functionality and financial aspects of NFTs, including NFT creation, mining, trading, auction, and DeFi applications. Dego Finance launched on Binance’s Launchpad in early 2021.


AlienSwap is an NFT marketplace that announced the completion of a seed round of financing led by OKX Blockdream Ventures in June 2022, and announced a $12 million financing led by NEXT Leader Capital and C² Ventures in early May this year.


Zonic is an L2-focused NFT trading marketplace launched by the Apetimism team, currently supporting Optimism and Arbitrum.


Creco aims to enable NFTs to store metadata on-chain to unlock more potential for NFTs. In addition, Creco will develop Rollup-to-Rollup NFT cross-chain bridges using Hop’s information transfer protocol.


NFTs2Me is an NFT management tool that helps users create, deploy, and manage NFTs and mint NFTs without code.


Innovaz is a platform that helps users create NFT marketplaces, as well as NFT collections and minting pages.


Omnisea is a LayerZero-based full-chain NFT marketplace.


zkMarkets is an NFT trading platform that also provides NFT minting and other functions.



SecondLive is an AI-driven open metaverse project that announced a seed round financing of $30 million with participation from Binance Labs in November 2021.


MudAi is a metaverse developed using blockchain, artificial intelligence, and 3DCG. MudAi claims to effectively reduce the consumption of disposable time and make better use of that time.


Galaxy Blitz

Galaxy Blitz is a large-scale multiplayer online war strategy game with a space theme, designed by the team behind the mobile game “Clash of Clans” developed by Finnish game company Supercell. Galaxy Blitz announced a financing of over $10 million in January last year.


CARV is a decentralized identity startup project for gamers, which announced a $4 million financing led by Vertex Ventures, a venture capital firm under Temasek, in November last year.

Cubic Games

Cubic Games is a game infrastructure and a community-driven gaming platform, providing game SDKs, AI-based tools, as well as game and asset interfaces.


SAKABA is a loyalty platform for Web3 game projects, providing goal-based interoperable IDs for Web3 game players in the EVM ecosystem.


OmniKingdoms is a large-scale multiplayer online role-playing game that will be launched simultaneously with the Scroll mainnet.


EtherWar is a full-chain war game built on Scroll.


DeGame is a chain game distribution platform that announced the completion of a $6.5 million financing round led by Folius Ventures, Kenetic Capital, and A&T Capital in May of this year.


Atem Network

Atem Network is a multi-chain Web3 social protocol that launched the content publishing platform AtemReview in August last year. Creators can publish their Web3 native text and image notes on the platform and build on-chain relationships with fans by allowing them to collect content NFTs and creator NFTs.

Atem announced a $3 million seed round led by INCE Capital and participated by Foresight Ventures in February last year.

Scroll Name Service (ScrollNS) is a domain name service launched on Scroll by full-chain domain service provider Star Protocol.
